The LINE Broadcast Playbook for Hostess Club Cast — Filters, Templates, and the Golden Time Window
A practical playbook for hostess club cast — and the managers who coach them — on using LINE broadcasts to drive visits. Segment filters (repeat nomination / churn risk / birthday), message templates, and the send-time patterns that lift read rates, with concrete examples.
In the hostess club business, LINE broadcasts are a standard outreach tool — for individual cast, and for venues that treat guest outreach as a coached, repeatable process. Used badly, though, they backfire: in our Japanese operating data, unsegmented blasts hovered around a 30% read rate and 3% visit rate (illustrative), and risk annoying guests.
This playbook covers the patterns that aimed at 60%+ read rates and 10-15% visit conversion in that data (illustrative; results vary).
The Anti-Pattern: One Sales Blast to Everyone
A bad example:
Hi everyone! Hope to see you all this month!
Come by if you have time!
Why it fails:
- Generic: no one feels it is addressed to them
- No timing: no specific day or window
- No motive: no reason to actually come
→ Low read rates, high block risk.
The Pattern That Works: Segment-Specific Customization
"Broadcast" does not have to mean "identical." The golden rule is to filter your guest list and change the message per segment.
Filter 1: Repeat-nomination guests (core customers)
Template:
[Name], thank you as always.
I'd love to see you this month too.
If you happen to be free on the evening
of the XXth, I'll be wearing a new dress —
come say hello.
- Goal: retain your most loyal guests
- Frequency: no more than 1-2 times per month
Filter 2: No visit in 30+ days (churn risk)
Template:
[Name], it's been a while.
I haven't seen you lately and I miss
our conversations. How have you been?
I'd love to catch up over a good drink
whenever you have time.
- Goal: prevent churn
- Frequency: once per month
Filter 3: Guests with a birthday this month
Template:
[Name], happy birthday month!
I'd love to celebrate with you properly —
let me know which days you're free
and we'll make it special.
- Goal: secure a dohan (pre-shift dinner) appointment or a special-occasion visit
- Frequency: once early in the birthday month, once on the day
Filter 4: New / first-time guests
Template:
[Name], thank you for the other night.
I really enjoyed our conversation.
If you get the chance, I'd love to have
more time to talk next time.
- Goal: convert the first visit into a second
- Frequency: once, 3-7 days after the first visit
The Golden Time Window
In our Japanese operating data (illustrative figures; results vary by market), read rates and visit conversion were both best in one window:
- 7:00pm-9:00pm: ~70% read rate / ~12% visit rate
- 12:00pm-1:00pm (lunch): ~60% read rate / ~8% visit rate
- 11:00pm-1:00am (late night): ~50% read rate / ~5% visit rate (recipients are busy or winding down)
- Before 9:00am: ~40% read rate / worst response
Simply consolidating sends into the 7pm-9pm golden window multiplied visit conversion several times over in that data.
Weekday Strategy
- Monday: reflect on the weekend + early invitations for Friday/Saturday
- Tuesday: casual mid-week touch (low pressure)
- Wednesday: pre-weekend approach
- Thursday: concrete invitations for tomorrow / the day after
- Friday: tonight's invitation (last-minute)
- Saturday/Sunday: next-week invitations / birthday messages
Executing This in tasteck player
Step 1: Apply filters to the guest list
- Filters such as repeat nomination / churn risk / birthday
- Preview shows how many guests match
Step 2: Pick a template or write freely
- Ready-made templates: start-of-month greeting / it's-been-a-while / birthday
{name}is replaced with each guest's name automatically
Step 3: Launch LINE (Pro plan and above)
- An "Open LINE" button per guest
- The message body is auto-copied to the clipboard and the guest's LINE profile opens directly
- Paste → send → next guest
Step 4: Mark as sent + record history
- Sent checkmarks per guest
- Send history is stored in the database (available for later analysis)
Step 5 (Plus plan only): automated sending via the Messaging API
- For guests who have already added the venue's official account, one tap sends to everyone
- Reads and taps are recorded automatically
- Cost reference (Japanese LINE pricing): Free tier 200 messages/month; Light ¥5,000/month for 5,000 messages
Which KPIs to Review
Metrics worth reviewing after one month:
- Sends / reads / read rate
- Visit conversion rate (visits within 7 days of a send)
- Conversion rate by filter (repeat nomination vs. churn risk, etc.)
- Response rate by time window
As data accumulates, the optimal mix for your own guest base becomes visible — this is exactly the review an operator can run with each cast member during coaching.
The Do-Not List (Avoiding Over-Messaging)
- Never send the same guest 2+ messages in one day
- No more than 2 messages per week (except VIPs)
- If a guest declines, wait a month before the next message
- No follow-up within 24 hours of a read
Summary
- Segment-specific templates multiplied visit conversion several times over in our data (illustrative)
- 7pm-9pm is the golden send window
- tasteck player Pro (¥980/month) semi-automates the workflow; Plus (¥1,980/month) fully automates it
